Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday that the country's forces have been stationed in Saudi Arabia to ensure security and defense cooperation. This action has been taken within the framework of the Mecca mutual defense agreement, aimed at strengthening defensive capabilities and security cooperation in the region.

Defensive Role of Pakistani Forces

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the stationed forces will only operate in defensive roles and will never cross the border to attack the Ansar Allah group in Yemen. This decision has been made to maintain security and stability in the region and underscores the importance of international cooperation in security matters.

Mecca Mutual Defense Agreement

The Mecca mutual defense agreement, recently signed among Islamic countries, primarily aims to ensure security and defense of Islamic countries against external threats. With this agreement, Islamic countries seek to create a united front to confront security challenges. Pakistan, as one of the key countries in this agreement, plays a fundamental role in ensuring security and defense cooperation.

Pakistani forces, due to their experience and military capabilities, are recognized as a credible partner in these collaborations. These forces have been stationed to strengthen security and defend the borders of Saudi Arabia and will continue to fulfill their commitments to ensure regional security.

This action comes at a time when tensions in the Persian Gulf and Yemen continue. The Ansar Allah group in Yemen, as one of the Houthi groups, has consistently posed threats to the security of neighboring countries. Therefore, the deployment of Pakistani forces in Saudi Arabia is seen as a preventive measure to counter these threats.

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that under no circumstances will its forces engage in offensive operations against Ansar Allah in Yemen and will only act to defend the security of Saudi Arabia. This stance reflects Pakistan's efforts to maintain stability and security in the region.
