Lotfollah Forouzandeh, Deputy for Coordination and Regional Affairs of Tehran Municipality, elaborated on the new initiatives of this organization and announced the opening of 40 sports facilities by the end of the current year. This initiative is part of the municipality's efforts to enhance the quality of life and health of the community.

Emphasis on Cohesion and Unity in Society

Forouzandeh, referring to the current economic and social challenges, emphasized that the municipality is seeking to create cohesion and unity in society. He stated that after the Ramadan War, Iran's enemies aimed to create dissatisfaction and division among the people, but the strong and active presence of citizens in the fields thwarted these plans.

Economic and Social Plans to Support Citizens

He also referred to the launch of the "Zero Inflation" plan, aimed at reducing economic pressure on the people and creating tranquility in society. This plan has also been welcomed by the President and is being implemented as a national initiative. Additionally, local markets have been established in various regions of Tehran where prices of goods are lower than in municipal marketplaces.

Forouzandeh further mentioned the municipality's plans to increase population and childbirth rates, discussing the initiation of the "Bright Eyes" plan. This plan includes providing social housing for young couples to strengthen family foundations and ensure housing for them. The management of these housing units will be entrusted to local trustees.

Increasing Green Spaces and Improving Public Transportation

The Deputy Mayor of Tehran also announced the addition of 11,000 hectares of green space to the city, with 600 hectares located within the city. This initiative aims to improve the quality of life and increase the per capita green space for citizens. Furthermore, making public transportation free has led to a 30% increase in citizens' inclination to use this mode of transport.

In conclusion, Forouzandeh stated that the average age of managers in the municipality is 40 years, announcing that these motivated and energetic young people are pursuing and implementing various projects. It is hoped that with these efforts, Tehran will become a dynamic and healthy city where all citizens can benefit from its facilities and services.
