Brent crude oil rose by $1.48, equivalent to 1.3%, reaching $115.36 per barrel. Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil also increased by $1.22, equivalent to 1.22%, reaching $101.12 per barrel.

Attack on Saudi Oil Refinery and Its Impact on the Market

Yemeni forces announced on Tuesday that they targeted Saudi Arabia's largest oil refinery with a missile attack. This action has led to a reduction in production and an increase in oil prices, escalating Yemeni attacks against the world's second-largest crude oil producer. Saudi officials have not yet officially confirmed this attack on facilities with a refining capacity of 550,000 barrels per day, but this attack reflects the increasing tensions in the region.

Impact of Oil Market Conditions on Prices

This price increase comes after prices had dropped nearly $2 on Tuesday due to reduced concerns about oil supply. However, the upward trend in oil prices following this attack, along with expectations of rising crude oil inventories in the United States, has emerged. According to a Reuters survey of eight analysts, U.S. crude oil inventories increased by about 15,000 barrels in the week ending October 23.

On the other hand, oil-producing countries in the OPEC+ group are likely to maintain their oil production targets for December unchanged in the upcoming meeting on Sunday. This decision aligns with market expectations and indicates OPEC+'s desire to maintain balance in the oil market.

Additionally, according to three informed sources, production in most of the seven main OPEC+ members, including Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Algeria, Kazakhstan, and Oman, is below their set production targets. This situation could be beneficial for prices in the global market.

Traders also reported that Russian crude oil exports from the country's ports in the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea may decrease next month. This reduction is due to increased diesel production in Russian domestic refineries and an agreement reached with Washington.

Overall, recent developments in the Middle East and changes in global oil production and exports directly impact oil prices and reflect the complexities of the energy market. These developments may be just part of a larger picture that affects the lives of millions around the world.
