Narges Nikkhah Qamsari began her vibrant life today from a point that many consider the finish line. In her youth, she faced the news of her blindness and instead of surrendering, she decided to fight harder than ever to achieve her dreams. Now, as an assistant professor at Kashan University and the founder of a workshop for the blind in this city, she brings hope and enthusiasm to her life and the lives of others.
Narges Nikkhah's Challenging Path
Nikkhah Qamsari has studied up to the doctoral level in political sociology and currently, in the workshop she has established for the blind, products are produced that are not easy to make with colorless and blind eyes. Every morning when she enters the workshop, the cheerful voices of the attendees wash away the fatigue of the hard days past. She has never seen the faces of the children, but by hearing their voices and amidst the noise of pottery wheels and sewing machines, she recalls the bitter and sweet stories she has gone through to establish the workshop.

Qamsari faced many challenges. The day she decided to establish this workshop, her biggest problem was convincing the families of the blind that they could work in various workshops. She said: "Some families were harsh and refused to accept that children who had spent their lives passively and dependently could work like normal individuals, but I did not lose hope and kept pursuing to gain their approval."
A Kind Supporter for Blind Youth
Before establishing the workshop, Qamsari and her companions spent a lot of time finding a way and method for the blind to work. Together, they were able to teach the necessary skills to blind youth. She says about this: "Before I started the workshop, we had formed an association with a number of blind individuals in Kashan, which initially did not have a specific location. When the mother of martyr Fakhari offered her home to us, we decided to use that house as a place for the education and work of the children."
Narges Nikkhah, despite her blindness, fought alone against the limitations of the blind world and became known as a kind supporter for the blind youth of Kashan. In her childhood, she had the blessing of sight and, as she says, she never thought she would one day become blind. However, with the onset of her vision problems in high school, she decided to see a doctor and after her illness was diagnosed, she did not share the secret of her blindness with anyone.
Narges continued her studies in the humanities and graduated with the seventh rank in her master's degree. After this success, she decided to share the secret of her blindness with her family. This decision was not easy for her, but it was accompanied by the support of her family.
Narges Nikkhah even when she got a study opportunity in Sweden, was looking for ways and methods to localize for the convenience of the blind. After returning to Kashan, by establishing facilities such as a library and a sound recording studio, she helped 800 members of the blind association to continue their education and acquire necessary skills.
Qamsari named the brand of the products from the workshop she established for the employment of the blind "Shod" to show that the impossibilities that no one thought the blind could achieve have become possible.
