Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, the Prime Minister of Iraq, in his speech on the occasion of the national day of the country, emphasized three key pillars: national sovereignty, airspace protection, and the necessity of placing weapons under the command of the government. These remarks were made in a context where Iraq faces multiple challenges regarding security and sovereignty.

National Sovereignty and Its Challenges

Al-Kadhimi considered national sovereignty as one of the main pillars of power in Iraq and stated: "Our national sovereignty must be based on the interests of the people and the unity of the country." He pointed out that the existence of illegal armed groups poses a serious threat to the security and stability of the country, and the government must decisively address this issue.

The Prime Minister of Iraq also referred to the bitter experiences of the past and said: "History has shown that whenever our national sovereignty has been questioned, many problems and anomalies have arisen." Al-Kadhimi believes that only through strengthening national sovereignty and internal unity can a better future for Iraq be achieved.

Airspace Protection and Arms Control

In another part of his speech, Al-Kadhimi referred to the necessity of protecting Iraq's airspace and stated: "We must fully protect our airspace and not allow any country to violate our territory." He emphasized that this issue is related not only to national security but also to Iraq's international credibility.

Al-Kadhimi continued to address the issue of arms control and stated: "Weapons must be under the command of the government, and no group or individual has the right to use them without permission." These remarks by Al-Kadhimi come at a time when Iraq is facing security challenges due to the presence of illegal armed groups and political disputes within the country.

The Prime Minister of Iraq also called on all political groups to cooperate in preserving the sovereignty and security of the country and to adhere to the rights and interests of the nation. He emphasized that to achieve these goals, everyone must join hands and avoid any division and conflict.

Finally, Al-Kadhimi, highlighting the importance of unity and solidarity among the people of Iraq, urged everyone to support each other in this path and strive for a better future. He added: "We must be hopeful for our future and work to realize the aspirations of the nation."
