Mojtaba Aghvami-Panah, the CEO of the Tehran City Industries and Professions Organization, announced regarding the operation of press kiosks in the city that no new permits have been issued for setting up kiosks. He emphasized that this action has only taken place in cases that led to the issuance of permits, and it has been done within the framework of implementing judicial rulings and legal requirements.
Pursuing Legal Rights and Judicial Rulings
Aghvami-Panah further pointed out the existence of 9 judicial conviction rulings in this regard, stating: "After the judicial rulings become final and the cases are referred to the enforcement stage, the municipality is obliged to pursue and implement the related legal obligations." He also mentioned that individuals who have a stake in this matter pursue their rights through judicial channels, and the company is required to act within the framework of the law.
Preventing the Establishment of New Kiosks
The CEO of the Tehran City Industries and Professions Organization referred to combating the operation of unauthorized kiosks and said: "Several unauthorized kiosks have been identified, and necessary actions for their collection are underway through the municipality's districts and in coordination with law enforcement, judicial, and other supervisory bodies." These actions demonstrate the serious approach of the Tehran municipality in organizing and preventing the establishment of new kiosks outside legal regulations.
Aghvami-Panah noted that the Tehran municipality is currently seeking to create a healthy and organized environment for press and advertising activities. He emphasized that cooperation with responsible and supervisory bodies in this regard is of special importance. This new approach signifies an effort to reduce any unauthorized activities and organize the status of press kiosks in Tehran.
Considering that press kiosks are recognized as one of the means of distributing news and information in cities, organizing these kiosks and preventing unauthorized activities can help improve the media situation in Tehran. It seems that the recent actions of the municipality aimed at establishing order and legality in this area will be an effective step towards enhancing the quality of urban services and informing citizens.
