Mohammad Sadegh Hatami announced the news of the modernization of the motorcycle fleet in the country, saying: "For the first time, the legal process of motorcycle scrapping has been implemented in the country." This action is intended to reduce air pollution and improve traffic conditions in metropolitan areas.
Increased Facilities and Incentives for Motorcycle Owners
Hatami added in a press conference: "By removing legal obstacles and verifying authenticity, 20,000 motorcycles will be removed from circulation by the end of the year." He also noted that special facilities of up to 500 million tomans have been considered for workers in service and distribution platforms. According to him, this process officially started in December of last year, and now 2,000 old motorcycles have been completely removed from circulation and scrapped.

Focus on Modernization with Electric Motorcycles
The head of the fleet modernization and scrapping of old vehicles emphasized: "Encouraging owners of old motorcycles to modernize their fleet through significant incentives is being carried out." Accordingly, if owners replace their old motorcycle with an electric model, they will receive a subsidy of 140 million tomans from the scrapping certificate. Hatami also emphasized that special facilities between 400 to 500 million tomans have been planned for active riders in distribution platforms and service platforms in metropolitan areas.
Targeting Air Pollution Reduction
Hatami announced the final target for this year to be the removal of 20,000 old motorcycles from circulation and said: "Plans have been made in such a way that at least 20% of the domestic motorcycle production capacity is dedicated to modernization and replacement." He hopes to see a leap in this area next year and to be able to remove up to 120,000 old motorcycles from circulation. With these actions, a significant step will be taken to reduce air pollution and improve urban living quality.
