Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy, analyzed and reviewed the new agreement between the United States and Russia regarding diesel fuel supply in today's parliamentary session. She called this agreement "very risky" and pointed to its economic and political consequences.

An agreement amid tensions

The recent agreement between the US and Russia regarding diesel supply has taken place while tensions between the two countries continue. Meloni emphasized that this decision could lead to new revenues for Russia, thereby strengthening its ability to continue its military and political activities. The Prime Minister told parliament members: "This agreement not only generates income for Russia but could also contribute to the continuation of tensions and instability in the region."

Economic and political consequences

In her remarks, Meloni referred to the economic consequences of this agreement and stated that global markets might be affected. She warned that if European countries remain dependent on fuel supply from Russia, they may gradually face new security threats, especially in light of the energy crisis in Europe. She also told her colleagues in parliament: "As an international community, we must pay attention to this issue and support any possible action to prevent the increase of Russia's power."

The Prime Minister of Italy emphasized the need for a decisive approach towards this agreement, recalling past experiences. She reminded representatives that history has shown that any dependency on Russian energy resources can have irreparable consequences. In conclusion, Meloni urged her colleagues to collaborate on necessary measures to prevent the repercussions of this agreement and stressed the importance of unity among European countries in this regard.
