Masoud Lotfi, CEO of Tehran Metro Operating Company, pointed out the approaching start of the 1405-1406 academic year and the increase in daily travel volume on the metro network, announcing the implementation of the "Welcoming the 1405 School Year" plan. This plan is being executed to enhance service quality, increase operational readiness, strengthen safety, and improve the environmental conditions of the stations so that students and other citizens can use the metro more easily and comfortably.

Metro Fleet and Equipment Readiness

Lotfi spoke about the significant increase in travel demand in September, stating: "All technical, operational, and executive capacities of the company are being utilized to maintain the readiness of the fleet and equipment and provide sustainable services to passengers, and oversight of the implementation of these measures is continuously ongoing." He added that specialized repairs and inspections of the fleet have been conducted: "The vital systems of the trains, including brakes, audio systems, lighting, and air conditioning, have been examined and necessary repairs have been made so that the fleet enters the period of increased travel demand in September with greater readiness."

Enhancing Order and Security at Stations

The CEO of Tehran Metro Operating Company also announced special programs to enhance social order and discipline in the metro network. He stated: "Considering the increased presence of students, families, and others in the metro network, plans to combat street vending and hawking are being implemented in collaboration with the municipal authorities at the stations." The presence of security forces and coordination with metro police has also been strengthened during this time, and issues such as controlling unauthorized baggage and maintaining order at the stations are being pursued more rigorously.

Lotfi concluded by emphasizing the ongoing operational readiness of the company, stating: "Continuous monitoring and oversight of the fleet, equipment, and stations will continue during the reopening of schools and universities, and we will strive to provide safe, orderly, and sustainable services to passengers on the Tehran metro network using all available capacities."
