Mahdi Amiri, the Director General of Citizen Education at Tehran Municipality, announced the launch of the first "Citizen Bus". This project, designed to provide educational, cultural, and social services to students in various urban environments, is set to be implemented soon in the capital.
Vision for the Development of Citizen Buses
Amiri elaborated on the project, saying: "Our vision is to have a citizen bus for each area of Tehran in the future." These buses will be designed to provide a suitable space for education, film screenings, counseling, and libraries. This initiative could improve students' access to cultural and educational services.
Facilities and Equipment of the Citizen Bus
The Director General of Citizen Education at Tehran Municipality continued: "The interior space of the bus will be designed so that students can benefit from various facilities such as counseling and education." He also mentioned that currently, one bus has been designated for the pilot implementation of this project, and the bus company is collaborating in this regard.
Amiri also reported on the progress of the project, stating: "The initial design of the bus has been completed, and we have now entered the workshop equipment phase." Given the significant costs required for redesigning and equipping this bus, an initial prototype will be prepared for testing, and after evaluation, the development of the project will be prioritized.
Mobile Services for Citizens
This bus, as a mobile cultural and educational capacity, can be present in various schools and neighborhoods. Amiri stated that the goal of this project is to provide accessible educational and cultural services to citizens, saying: "We want to take these services out of fixed centers and move them to different parts of the city."
This project hopes to address the educational and cultural needs of students through mobile services and ultimately contribute to improving the quality of life for citizens.
According to Amiri, it is expected that the prototype of the citizen bus will be ready and operational by February 11. This initiative reflects the efforts of Tehran Municipality to enhance the level of educational and cultural services for citizens.
