Sergey Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of Russia, in remarks on Friday, emphasized the profound and long-term impacts of the actions of the United States and NATO in Afghanistan and expressed his concern about Western efforts to initiate 'color revolutions' in other countries. He noted that overcoming the consequences of these actions will take a long time and that the countries affected by these developments will face serious challenges.

Consequences of the Actions of the United States and NATO

Lavrov, at this meeting, referred to the history of the U.S. military intervention in Afghanistan and stated: 'We have seen how this intervention not only did not contribute to stability in this country but also led to greater turmoil and instability in the region.' He emphasized that these developments have dire consequences, especially for the countries affected by these policies.

The Russian Foreign Minister also referred to recent Western efforts to promote democracy in a specific manner and said: 'We must learn from history. Various countries have tasted this imposed democracy and are now in a situation where they cannot easily escape from it.'

Warning About the Future

Lavrov, expressing concern about Western efforts to create color revolutions in various countries, stated: 'Such interventions are by no means beneficial for global stability and will only lead to increased tensions.' He also referred to the role of media and social networks in promoting these revolutions and said that these tools can easily become weapons in the hands of intervening forces.

These remarks by Lavrov come at a time when many countries are seeking solutions to their internal problems, and the intervention of any foreign power could exacerbate crises. He noted that independent countries must determine their own destiny and avoid any foreign intervention.

In conclusion, Lavrov emphasized that Russia is always ready to assist countries affected by these interventions and to take steps to strengthen global security and stability. He added: 'We must unite to prevent such crises from occurring and not allow history to repeat itself.'
