Yousef Moghaddami, Deputy of Social Services at Tehran's Fruit and Vegetable Markets Organization, announced the launch of an innovative project to reduce social harms in these markets. This project is being implemented to identify and provide support services to vulnerable groups, considering the high volume of freight vehicle traffic from across the country and the vastness of this area.
Objective of the Project
Moghaddami stated: "The main goal of this project is to identify and organize affected individuals and those at risk. These individuals include the homeless and visible drug addicts who need support and social services. We are continuously providing assistance to these groups in collaboration with social work teams and emergency social services units."

Social Consequences
This project aims to reintegrate vulnerable individuals into the cycle of health and social life, ultimately hoping to improve living and social conditions in this busy area. Moghaddami emphasized: "Our goal is to help improve their living conditions by identifying and organizing these individuals and to create a healthier social environment in Tehran's fruit and vegetable markets."
A large number of vulnerable individuals live in this area, and many of them urgently need social services due to their circumstances. With the implementation of this project, it is hoped that positive steps will be taken towards reducing social harms and improving the living conditions of these individuals.
The social harm reduction project in Tehran's fruit and vegetable markets is also considered a model for other areas of the city. This initiative not only helps improve the conditions of vulnerable individuals but can also lead to increased public awareness regarding social issues and the needs of this segment of society.
