Katie Zakaria, the new White House spokesperson, who has only been in her position for a week, is facing severe and ruthless criticism from President Donald Trump. In a conversation with reporters before departing for Georgia to attend a campaign rally, Trump advised Zakaria to think about her own peace and happiness, clearly stating that she might soon resign from this position.
Trump's Conversations with Zakaria
In this conversation, Trump told Zakaria: "I think it's better for you to think about your peace and happiness." He also indicated that Zakaria does not need this job and wants her to have a "good life." These remarks from Trump show that he is very concerned about Zakaria's situation and the media's criticism of her.

Zakaria's Short Tenure at the White House
Despite Trump's support, American media outlets including Fox News and Axios have reported that Zakaria is likely to be dismissed. Her brief tenure as White House spokesperson has been accompanied by questions about her professional background and her weakness in responding to reporters' inquiries. Zakaria appeared visibly anxious during her press briefing and spoke with pauses and hesitation. She allowed only three reporters to ask questions, all of whom were from conservative-leaning media or close to Trump.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Zakaria accompanied Trump on his trips to Alaska, Arizona, and Montana for campaign rallies, but during this time, she did not hold another press briefing. This lack of press briefings may have fueled criticism against her.
Criticism of Zakaria's Background
Zakaria, a law graduate from Pepperdine University, has also faced criticism for introducing herself as a "lawyer." She has not passed the bar exam and does not have the necessary license to practice professionally as a lawyer. Zakaria had previously introduced herself as a lawyer while serving as a commentator on conservative television networks and argued that using this title is appropriate when analyzing legal issues. She also referred to her activities as a lawyer in China.
Zakaria's Background Before the White House
Before joining the White House, Zakaria worked in the communications department of "Trump Media"; a company that operates Trump's social media platform, "Truth Social." She also briefly worked in the Department of Homeland Security during Trump's second term. These backgrounds may have contributed to the criticism against her and her failure to respond effectively to reporters' questions, possibly aiding in her potential dismissal.
