JD Vance, the Vice President of the United States, discussed the ongoing war between America and the Islamic Republic of Iran during a Q&A session on Fox News. In this session, Vance stated that Donald Trump, the President of the United States, will not allow this war to become an endless war.
The Situation of the War in Iran
In response to a question from a student regarding Trump's campaign promises to end America's costly wars, Vance referred to the duration of the conflicts in Iran and said: "We have been engaged with Iran for seven months. The United States has been grappling with the issue of Iran for 47 years, and we do not want this war to become an endless war."

Ongoing Talks Between Iran and America
Meanwhile, ongoing negotiations between the Islamic Republic and the United States are continuing with the mediation of Qatar. On October 20, Qatari mediators traveled to Tehran to advance efforts to reach an agreement between Iran and the United States. These negotiations have been coordinated with the United States.
Mahmoud Maleki, the head of the public relations department of the Islamic Republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reacted to the statements of Ibrahim Alhashimi, the director of media and communications at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, calling for more careful consideration in his media statements and urged regional countries not to allow their territory and resources to be used for military attacks on Iran.
In this context, Ibrahim Alhashimi stated on Tuesday, October 27, that "the ball is now in Iran's court" and the Islamic Republic must show its goodwill and end the threats to regional countries.
Signs of Military Operations
Alongside these events, Donald Trump has had a rare meeting with General Eric Cooper, the commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), to discuss the next steps in the war with Iran. The Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. officials stated that Cooper outlined military options in Iran for Trump during this meeting. This meeting has been seen as a sign of an imminent major operation.
Meanwhile, the U.S. economic pressure campaign against Iran has also been discussed in these talks. The U.S. Navy has been escorting civilian vessels through the Strait of Hormuz for several months, indicating the intensity of ongoing tensions in the region.
Given the current conditions, it can be said that the Iran-U.S. war is currently in a sensitive state, and any decision-making in this regard could have significant consequences for international relations.
