Ismail Baqai, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed condolences on the occasion of the martyrdom of the cultural deputy of the police force of Sistan and Baluchestan province during a press conference on Monday, October 20. He analyzed the security situation of the Strait of Hormuz and the claims of the President of the United States. Baqai, referring to the sacrifices of the martyrs and the importance of Iran's security, said: "We must cherish the security and power of the country, which is the result of sacrifices."

Cultural and Literary Messages in the Press Conference

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continued by commemorating Hafez, the great Iranian poet, and said: "Hafez is part of our Iranian-Islamic culture and civilization, and we must always remember that this culture is part of our identity." He recited two couplets from Hafez's poetry and emphasized the importance of literature and culture in the national identity of Iranians.

Analysis of the Situation in the Strait of Hormuz and Reaction to U.S. Claims

In response to reporters' questions about the claims of the President of the United States that the Strait of Hormuz has returned to normalcy, Baqai, citing field realities, said: "The claims of the Americans have no correlation with what we observe in the field of reality." He added: "Markets do not pay attention to these claims, and international developments also reflect the realities."

Baqai noted: "The developments in the Strait of Hormuz are a direct result of the actions of the United States and the Zionist regime in attacking Iran, and as long as the United States insists on destabilizing this waterway, security will not return to this region." He also referred to the aggressive actions of the United States in the region and said: "We are not happy with this situation; because the security of the Strait of Hormuz is more necessary for us than anyone else."

Efforts for a Deeper Understanding of History and Culture

In response to the recent remarks of the U.S. Secretary of State in Athens, Baqai considered this speech as part of the cognitive war of the United States against Iran and said: "This type of historical interpretation is both dangerous and a disservice to the culture and civilization of Greece." He continued: "Iran, as a concept and idea, has persisted for thousands of years, and its continuity is the result of its interactiveness and engagement."

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also pointed out that Iranians have never sought their power and existence in denying others and have always interacted with their rivals. He concluded by asking the advisors of the U.S. Secretary of State to gift him the Divan of Hafez so that they may become aware of the delicacy of Iranian culture.
