Ismail Baqaei, while rejecting the claims of Josep Borrell, the EU's foreign policy chief, regarding Iranian intervention in the Saudi-Yemen conflict, stated that the European Union itself is a partner in the gross violations of human rights in Yemen due to its involvement in the sanctions and economic blockade against the Yemeni people. He emphasized that European officials cannot absolve themselves of responsibility with misleading statements.
Denial of Iranian Military Presence in Yemen
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also strongly denied claims about the presence of Iranian military experts in Yemen, stating that the dissemination of this fake news is aimed at covering up the realities and diverting public opinion. Baqaei noted that the Yemeni people have proven that they possess the capability, experience, courage, and will necessary to defend their national sovereignty and human dignity, and they do not require the intervention of any party in this regard.

Condemnation of Military Attacks and Call for Peace
Baqaei condemned military attacks against various regions of Yemen, especially civilian facilities and vital infrastructure, and called for an end to the aggressions against Yemen's national sovereignty and territorial integrity. He reminded that these attacks have resulted in the martyrdom of over 270 Muslim Yemenis, including 130 children and women, and injured more than 650 others.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized Iran's principled position regarding the ongoing conflicts in the Arabian Peninsula, stating: "Establishing peace in the Arabian Peninsula requires the cessation of military attacks, respect for the right of the Yemeni people to self-determination, and an end to the maritime and aerial blockade of this country." He also stressed the necessity of dialogue based on a roadmap agreed upon by Yemenis and Saudi Arabia and announced that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to provide any assistance in this regard.
Baqaei criticized the continuous misuse of the United Nations Security Council to justify the inhumane blockade of Yemen and emphasized the urgent need to stop military attacks and completely lift the illegal blockade and restrictions against this country.
