Ismail Baqaei, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced to reporters in his weekly press conference that the talks between Iran and America in Qatar are still ongoing. He mentioned that Iran has communicated all its legitimate demands to the American side and believes that fulfilling these demands is essential for establishing security in the Strait of Hormuz.

Changes in the Negotiating Team Composition

During the meeting, Ismail Baqaei referred to the appointment of five new Iranian ambassadors in various countries and announced Ms. Zahra Saei as the new ambassador of Iran to Kyrgyzstan and Mohsen Shamsizadeh as the new ambassador of Iran to Cyprus. He also responded to a question about changes in the negotiating team and emphasized that no changes have been made to this team.

Continuing Genocide in Palestine

Baqaei, in part of his remarks, referred to the latest developments in the West Asia region and the ongoing genocide by the Zionist regime in Palestine. He emphasized that the existing problems in the region are due to the actions of this regime and that after the recent elections of this regime, its crimes have increased.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also commented on the latest developments in negotiations with America, stating: "There are very complex issues at stake, and the passage of time has added to their complexity. The exchange of messages continues, and America must accept the realities." He added that Iran is demanding the fulfillment of its demands, as this would help restore security in the region.

Continuing Relations with Qatar as a Mediator

Baqaei, in response to a question about the Deputy Foreign Minister's trip to Doha, stated that this trip was aimed at facilitating interactions between Iran and America and easing the exchange of messages. He noted that Qatar plays an important role as a mediator in these discussions and that talks with this country continue.

He highlighted the importance of managing the country's diplomacy, stating that the Supreme National Security Council, chaired by the President, manages this process, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also plays a role as one of its components. The cohesion and solidarity among the country's decision-makers is seen as a positive aspect of this process.

In conclusion, Baqaei emphasized that Iran's demands are not only in the interest of this country but also beneficial for the security of the entire region, and concerns about the security of the Strait of Hormuz should not be overlooked.
