Increase in the Price of Vehicle Scrapping Certificates; Once Again Sacrificing Car Buyers

توسط تحریریهٔ خبرگزاری ایرانیان 2 دقیقه زمان مطالعه 1

The increase in the price of scrapping certificates for old vehicles to 60 million tomans has once again become one of the reasons for the rise in car prices. This clearly indicates the new challenges that new car buyers are facing. While automakers raise car prices under the pretext of increased costs due to scrapping certificates, the serious question arises as to why the costs of renewing and scrapping old vehicles should be paid out of the pockets of new car buyers?

Automakers and the New Financial Burden

Experience has shown that every time responsible authorities decide to increase the price of scrapping certificates, this burden is transferred to new car buyers. Instead of bearing the financial burden resulting from this cost increase, automakers easily add it to the final price of the cars. This behavior reflects an imbalance in the car market and a disregard for the real needs of buyers.

In such circumstances, buyers must not only spend money to purchase a new car, but they also have to bear the additional costs arising from the scrapping of old vehicles. This situation, especially in the current economic conditions where people's purchasing power has decreased, has caused public dissatisfaction and discontent.

Is It Time for Change?

It seems that the time has come to adopt new policies in the area of renewing old vehicles and scrapping certificates. It may be necessary for responsible authorities to pay more attention to this issue and support car buyers. Otherwise, the current situation will continue to be detrimental to buyers, and the car market will head towards further stagnation.
