The domestic and assembled car market faced new challenges today, Tuesday, October 21, 2026, with a significant increase in car prices. Despite these price increases, the deep recession and limitations on household purchasing power indicate the instability of this market.

Challenges in the Car Market and Reasons for Price Increases

Market analysts point to the continuation of sanctions, fluctuations in exchange rates, and supply chain issues, believing that these factors have led to a continuous rise in car prices. In this situation, rising prices do not indicate a boom in transactions, and the number of real buyers decreases every day. Household purchasing power continues to decline, negatively impacting buyers' decision-making.

Trend of Increasing Domestic Car Prices

Among various car models, the automatic Tara saw a price increase of 70 million tomans, reaching 3 billion and 650 million tomans. The Samand Suren Plus XU7P also increased by 50 million tomans, bringing its price to 2 billion and 240 million tomans. Additionally, the price of the Dena Plus 6-speed rose by 30 million tomans to 2 billion and 780 million tomans.

In the Saipa product market, the price of the new Quick S also increased by 10 million tomans, reaching 1 billion and 620 million tomans. The Saina S was traded in the market for 1 billion and 690 million tomans. This increase in prices, alongside the decline in household purchasing power, has contributed to the formation of an unstable market.

Assembled Cars on the Rise

The market for assembled cars also experienced price increases today, with the MVM X77 rising by 200 million tomans to 6 billion and 500 million tomans. The new Arrizo 8 also increased by 100 million tomans, reaching 8 billion and 500 million tomans. Additionally, the price of the KMC J7 increased by 50 million tomans compared to yesterday, reaching 6 billion and 850 million tomans.

Finally, the price of the new Jack J4 has risen by 480 million tomans over the past three days and is now traded in the market for 3 billion and 230 million tomans. These price increases indicate additional pressure on buyers and suggest a continued upward trend in the car market.
