The improvement of water supply for the residents of Fallah has begun with the implementation of the new Water and Wastewater project in Region 5. This operation was planned and managed with the aim of creating an effective control point in the water supply network to reduce pressure fluctuations and improve operational conditions.
Installation of New Equipment for Pressure Control
The Deputy of Engineering and Development of Water and Wastewater in Region 5, Reza Enayati Amani, announced: "In this operation, in addition to installing a 600 mm pressure regulator, two butterfly valves, one filter, and one air release valve were also installed in the facility. " This equipment is designed for controlling, turning on and off the flow, performing maintenance operations, and also for releasing trapped air in the line.

The network affected by this pressure regulator covers a significant portion of the water distribution network in the Fallah area, approximately 140 kilometers long, and will impact services for about 22,500 subscribers. The implementation of this project plays an effective role in creating hydraulic balance and managing pressure in the network covered by Reservoir No. 15.
Implementation Challenges and Solutions
Amani pointed out the implementation challenges of this project, mentioning the difficulties of excavation and site preparation in the Azari intersection area. Due to the presence of old facilities and connections, this operation faced technical and operational limitations. The execution of this project required precise planning, necessary coordination, and special measures to be anticipated.
To ensure the safe and appropriate installation of the equipment, a reinforced concrete chamber was constructed at the installation site. Additionally, to reduce the time of operation and prevent prolonged restrictions on the network, all necessary connections and accessories were prepared and inspected on-site before the operation began, so that the installation process could be completed in the shortest possible time.
The Deputy of Engineering and Development of Water and Wastewater in Region 5 emphasized at the end: "With the implementation of this project, the first effective point for controlling pressure and flow in this area has been created, paving the way for more precise operation of the network, optimal pressure management, flow control, and increased stability of the water distribution network in the Fallah area." This project revives hopes for the residents of this area in improving the quality of water supply and will contribute to greater hydraulic balance in the network.
