Hossein Abraghi, the 30-year-old defender of Persepolis, is facing serious challenges in the new season of the Premier League. He joined the club last summer and had a good performance in his first season, even reaching the brink of participating in the World Cup. However, with the acquisition of two new central defenders, his path to a regular spot in the team has become more difficult.
Competition in Persepolis' Defense Line
Hossein Abraghi was in the starting lineup for Persepolis in the last two matches against Naft Abadan and Khyber. Regarding his situation in the team, he said: "When you have a teammate in your position, the situation improves, and you have to strive to be on the field. With Mehdi Tartar's arrival at Persepolis, competition in the team has significantly increased. Any player who performs better will be in the lineup, and this competition helps all of us improve."

Transfer to Persepolis and Best Foreign Player
Hossein Abraghi also provided details about his transfer to Persepolis. He said: "Initially, I was on Ismail Kartal's list, and then my name was on Vahid Hashemian's list. He personally spoke to me and analyzed my performance. In the end, I was utilized as a central defender in Persepolis."
This Persepolis defender also mentioned Yasser Asani, one of the best foreign players in the Premier League, saying: "Yasser Asani is a truly quality player, but we also have Oston Orunov and Tivi Bifuma at our disposal. In my opinion, these three are the best foreign players in the Premier League this season."
Furthermore, Hossein Abraghi praised Aref Aghasi and Saman Fallah, considering them quality defenders. He said: "We have played together in the national team, and Aref is really a good defender. Saman Fallah is also among the good defenders in the league."
Finally, Hossein Abraghi expressed hope that with everyone's effort and determination, Persepolis would achieve more success in the new season, emphasizing the importance of competition in various positions and the necessity for individual and collective improvement.
