General Mohsen Rashid, a veteran narrator of the Sacred Defense and one of the founders of the Sacred Defense Documents and Research Center, was honored in a meeting with Brigadier General Ramadan, advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC. In this meeting, General Ramadan praised the efforts of General Rashid and other veteran narrators in the field of narrating the eight years of Sacred Defense and emphasized the importance of the narrators' community in preserving the history of the country.

The Necessity of Preserving the Spiritual Legacy of the Sacred Defense

General Ramadan, while reviewing General Rashid's combat history before the victory of the Islamic Revolution and his imprisonment during the oppressive regime, emphasized the need to preserve the spiritual and cultural legacy of the narrators of the Sacred Defense. He stated that the narrators' community today is at the forefront of the soft and cognitive war, a war aimed at distorting the realities of the Sacred Defense and undermining Iran's national identity. In such circumstances, an accurate and documented narration of the struggles of the combatants and the families of the martyrs is a national and revolutionary duty.

Challenges and Responsibilities of the Narrators of the Sacred Defense

The advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC also emphasized the challenges created by enemies using media and psychological operations. He said: "Today, enemies are trying to divert public opinion from steadfastness and resistance through fear-mongering and instilling psychological insecurity." General Ramadan emphasized that veteran narrators and committed historians must act both as recorders of truth and in enlightening public opinion and the younger generation.

He clarified that the narration of the Sacred Defense should not be limited to a collection of scattered and undocumented memories, and the historiography of the Sacred Defense must be based on precise research and credible documents. The Sacred Defense Documents and Research Center will also utilize the experiences of veteran narrators to systematically organize this great legacy.

During this meeting, General Mohsen Rashid emphasized the necessity of accurately and honestly recording the narratives of the Sacred Defense for future generations and said: "Narrators of the Sacred Defense are the custodians of the nation's historical memory and must convey the realities of the imposed war in contemporary language and using modern tools." He also referred to the unknown aspects of the Sacred Defense, including the role of the people and the families of the martyrs, and called for strengthening cooperation between narrators and researchers.

At the end of this meeting, the continuation of cooperation between the Sacred Defense Documents and Research Center and the narrators' community of the country and the emphasis on supporting historiography and narration projects, training a new generation of narrators, and producing documentary content suitable for today's cognitive war were discussed. The goal of these efforts is to preserve and transfer the legacy of the Sacred Defense to future generations and prevent the distortion of realities.
