Hojjatoleslam Abdolhossein Khosropanah, the Secretary of the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council, has asked students of Payame Noor University to file complaints due to violations that occurred in one of the university's units. This violation, which has harmed the legal and educational rights of students, requires legal follow-up from the students.
The Necessity of Student Complaints
Khosropanah stated in an interview that this violation has granted rights to the students, and they should file their complaints through legal channels. He clarified that the High Appeals Board of the Ministry of Science is the legal authority to address the case, and the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council cannot directly intervene in this matter.

National Dimensions of the Violation and Its Follow-Up
The Secretary of the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council emphasized that this issue has national dimensions, and the council has serious concerns about it. He stated that pursuing this matter does not mean the council is directly intervening, and it should be followed up through legal authorities. In this regard, the responses to the letters from the Minister of Science have also emphasized this approach and the necessity of addressing the issue in the High Appeals Board of the Ministry of Science.
Following the violation in the admission of students to the international units of Payame Noor University, this issue has become one of the important matters in higher education. According to reports, a number of Iranian students were admitted to the international units of this university in the years 2022 and 2023, while these units were not authorized to admit international students. This situation has created problems for these students in continuing their education, participating in comprehensive exams, and obtaining academic credentials.
This matter has also been pursued in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and Farshad Ebrahimpour, the Deputy Chairman of the Education Commission, has stated that Payame Noor University must resolve these issues, and if unable, the Ministry of Science should provide necessary solutions. If these problems are not resolved, the possibility of referring the matter to the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Heads of Powers is also on the table.
Ultimately, despite the follow-ups conducted, the final status of the students and how the violations will be addressed remains unclear. This issue not only affects the rights of the students but also necessitates clarifying their educational status.
