The likelihood of flooding and waterlogging in 12 provinces of the country has increased due to the intensification of the rainfall system in the next two days. Omid Mohtaram, spokesperson for the Crisis Management Organization, announced an orange alert for these provinces and urged residents to take necessary precautions.
Provinces at Risk
The provinces of Ardabil, Gilan, Lorestan, Ilam, Kermanshah, Qazvin, Alborz, Hormozgan, Khuzestan, Kurdistan, East Azerbaijan, and West Azerbaijan will be affected by this rainfall system. Mohtaram stated: "From today, Thursday, we will witness heavy rain showers, thunderstorms, strong winds, and in some areas, dust storms."

Safety Recommendations for Residents
The spokesperson for the Crisis Management Organization advised residents of these provinces to avoid traveling and being in the paths of rivers and areas prone to flooding due to the high probability of flooding. He also said: "People should refrain from camping along the banks and beds of rivers and be cautious about unnecessary travel and nature activities."
Mohtaram also advised the nomads in these areas to refrain from moving in the coming days and to act cautiously if necessary. These days, especially for the northern and western regions of the country, intensified activity of the rainfall system is anticipated.

The spokesperson for the Crisis Management Organization emphasized that all rescue services in these provinces must be on full alert. He stated: "This situation requires cooperation and coordination of all relevant agencies to ensure timely and effective service delivery in case of an incident."
