Greg Stanton, former head of the British Secret Intelligence Service, emphasized in statements that the Yemeni army forces will prevail in the ongoing battles with Saudi Arabia and will soon take control of large areas of the country. He pointed out the military capability and resilience of the Yemeni forces, stating that Saudi Arabia faces serious limitations in its options.

The Military Power of Yemen and the Challenges for Saudi Arabia

Stanton stated that the Yemeni forces are well-prepared for battle, saying: "The Yemeni forces will not be defeated." He considered the repeated strikes by the Yemeni army on Saudi positions as evidence of the significant advancements of these forces and added that this situation reflects Saudi Arabia's inability to cope with this military power. According to him, these developments clearly indicate fundamental changes in the power equations in the region.

Diplomatic Solutions for the Strait of Hormuz

Greg Stanton also emphasized the importance of finding diplomatic solutions for issues related to the Strait of Hormuz. He stated that the ongoing disputes and tensions in this region require a peaceful approach and international cooperation. In his view, dialogue and negotiation can lead to a reduction in tensions and the establishment of stability in this strategic waterway.

Stanton further added that only through diplomacy and cooperation can the existing challenges in the Strait of Hormuz be addressed and new crises be prevented. He reminded that crises in this region will affect not only neighboring countries but the entire world, necessitating a comprehensive approach and international collaboration.

Finally, the former head of MI6 emphasized that the continuation of war and conflict in Yemen is not beneficial for either side and could have dire humanitarian and economic consequences for the region. He stressed the need to pay attention to the humanitarian aspects of the Yemen crisis and to strive for its resolution.
