Gharibabadi, Deputy Foreign Minister, reacted to recent U.S. threats about the use of tactical nuclear weapons during the unveiling of annual reports on human rights violations in the U.S. and the U.K. He stated that discussions about the potential use of these weapons have emerged in the media, but no official stance from U.S. officials has been observed in this regard.

Concerns About the Use of Nuclear Weapons

Gharibabadi stated at the event: "In the media, we hear that people are talking about the possibility of using tactical nuclear weapons, but we have not seen any official position so far from the statesmen of these countries, like the U.S., which is the aggressor." These remarks come as concerns about U.S. military policies around the world have increased.

The Necessity of Pursuing Official Positions

The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that any nuclear threat must be taken seriously, adding: "If they make an official statement, it is completely actionable. They themselves are aware of what such a threat can officially entail." These statements reflect Iran's deep concerns about the potential escalation of tensions in various regions of the world due to U.S. military policies.

Gharibabadi highlighted the dangers posed by these threats and stressed the necessity of diplomacy and dialogue as a solution to reduce tensions. He noted that despite the threats, agreements with the U.S. can be achieved that would benefit global peace and stability.

These remarks are part of Iran's efforts to prevent new wars and maintain regional security. Gharibabadi, as a responsible official in foreign affairs, has a special responsibility in advancing diplomacy and working to reduce tensions on an international level.
