A residential building in Gaza turned into a tragedy at one o'clock in the morning, and as a result of its collapse, 50 children were trapped under the rubble. This incident occurred while many residents and Palestinian refugees were asleep and were unprepared for such an event.
Search and Rescue Operations in Gaza
Gaza Civil Defense teams are working tirelessly to find those trapped under the rubble. So far, 11 bodies, including five children, have been recovered, and 12 people have been rescued alive. This operation is taking place under conditions where the shortage of heavy equipment and rescue tools has created numerous problems for the rescue forces.

Request for Equipment and Dangerous Building Conditions
The spokesperson for Gaza Civil Defense called for the immediate dispatch of rescue equipment at a press conference, emphasizing that this equipment is essential for continuing the rescue operations. He also announced that around 100 people are still trapped under the rubble or their fate is unknown.
This building had previously been damaged in Israeli attacks, and its residents were forced to stay in it due to the lack of alternative shelter. According to local authorities, a similar situation exists in about 2,000 other buildings in the Gaza Strip that have been damaged by attacks and are in dangerous conditions. The residents of these buildings also cannot leave due to the lack of safe places.
The continued presence of families in these damaged buildings has significantly increased the risk of structural collapse and the rising number of casualties. Currently, the rescue operations in Gaza are facing many challenges, including infrastructure destruction and restricted access to affected areas.
