The kidnapped hostage in southern Janatabad, who was abducted following an attack by five armed men on a parking lot, was freed after three days of persistent police efforts. This incident occurred while the complainant's Lexus vehicle had also been stolen. In another operation, Tehran police reported the arrest of the perpetrator who displayed power and attacked citizens with a knife in the Yusefabad area. The suspect, accused of creating terror among citizens, had injured two people and damaged the windows of two passing vehicles. Officers from the third police information base in Tehran arrested him while he was carrying a knife after identifying his hideout. The suspect confessed to the crime and was referred to the judicial authority.

Continued efforts to combat economic crimes and drug trafficking

During these operations, Colonel Ali Askari, head of the Tehran Drug Control Police, reported the arrest of two operators of Telegram channels active in the buying and selling of drugs. In a search of their hideout, 9 kilograms and 200 grams of grass, one kilogram and 225 grams of other drugs, and two hunting weapons were discovered, and the suspects' advertising channels were also blocked. These actions demonstrate the police's determination to combat drug trafficking and economic crimes.

Additionally, Colonel Karam Soltani, commander of the seventh police information base, reported the arrest of two suspects involved in selling counterfeit dollars on Ferdowsi Street. These individuals initially offered real dollars while posing as tourists and later sold counterfeit dollars. During a search, 500 counterfeit dollars were discovered, and six complainants were identified.

Colonel Moslem Mirahmadi, deputy head of the Fraud and Forgery Police, also reported the arrest of three suspects in a fraud case involving gold market activists. The main suspect, having gained the trust of market activists, received about 22 kilograms of gold and fled. Detectives arrested him on Enqelab Street, and two accomplices were also identified and detained in Tehranpars.

The police, through the continuation of these operations, aim to create security and tranquility in society and urge citizens to remain calm when facing armed or malicious individuals, avoiding direct intervention and reporting the matter through number 110. They should also refrain from consuming goods without health permits and smuggled items and report suspicious cases.
