Freed Fishermen from the UAE in the Grip of Poverty!

Freed fishermen from detention in the UAE returned to Tehran after a tumultuous and tense journey. However, what awaited them was nothing but confusion and poverty. This group of fishermen, who had suffered greatly due to adverse conditions at sea and illegal detentions in the UAE, now faced a bigger problem.

Municipality's Help for Fishermen

Upon arriving in Tehran, these fishermen were wandering in the South Terminal with no money or means to return home. While the hope of returning to their homeland was alive in their hearts, the harsh reality of poverty and homelessness engulfed them. In this hopeless situation, the municipality rushed to the aid of these fishermen and tried to provide better conditions for them.

This incident clearly illustrates the deep and structural problems that Iranian fishermen face in their work. The reality is that many of these individuals go to sea out of financial need and poverty, but when confronted with strict laws and illegal detentions, they achieve nothing but frustration and despair.

The municipality's support for these fishermen is not only a sign of empathy and compassion for them but should also serve as a wake-up call for officials to think about addressing the fundamental problems of this hardworking segment of society. In fact, if conditions do not improve, we may witness the repetition of such incidents in the future.
