Second Admiral Farhad Fattahi, in an interview with reporters, referred to the important role of the Navy of the Army in defending the country's maritime borders during the critical days of the war, stating that Iran's maritime areas, especially Bandar Abbas, Jask, Konarak, and Anzali, were the main centers of conflicts. He emphasized that the Navy of the Army has taken necessary actions with precision and intelligence to prevent enemy aggressions.

Division of Responsibilities and Defensive Doctrine

Fattahi, referring to the division of responsibilities in the southern waters of the country, explained that the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf are under the responsibility of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, while the Navy of the Army is tasked with protecting the Sea of Oman and the northern Indian Ocean. This division of labor becomes particularly important in critical conditions.

He added: "Our mission is to prevent the enemy from advancing towards the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. We defend this imaginary line and do not allow the enemy to approach our shores." According to him, the Navy of the Army has effectively utilized all its capabilities, including missiles and drones.

Change in Military Doctrine and Cooperation with the Revolutionary Guard

Admiral Fattahi referred to the change in the country's military doctrine after the 12-day war, stating that the offensive doctrine has been adjusted to strengthen defensive and offensive capabilities. He emphasized that the Navy of the Army is moving towards more cooperation with knowledge-based companies and universities in this regard.

He also pointed to the close cooperation between the Army and the Revolutionary Guard in recent wars, stating: "Information superiority is one of the keys to success in military operations. These two forces must work synergistically to ensure that information is exchanged correctly and successful operations are carried out."

Second Admiral Fattahi further noted that today's wars are moving towards the use of unmanned units and artificial intelligence technologies, and the Navy of the Army has made significant progress in this area. He added: "If there has been no attack from the United States and the Zionist regime during this time, it is due to these advancements and our tactics in the Sea of Oman and the northern Indian Ocean."

He concluded by stating that the Navy of the Army, despite challenges and threats, stands firm and has effectively defended the country's territorial waters, successfully maintaining security in the Strait of Hormuz and its surroundings up to now.
