The Elite Center Recreational Complex on the Galikash-Mashhad road completely burned down this morning. This complex, which had only been open for a month, included a clothing store, hypermarket, restaurant, and café, and was recognized as one of the important projects during this year's Government Week.
Details of the Fire and Rescue Efforts
Kamal Ebrahimi, the governor of Galikash, stated that the fire was reported in the early hours of the morning, saying: "With the efforts of firefighters and other rescue forces, the fire was controlled by noon. Unfortunately, this incident resulted in 100 percent destruction of the Elite Center Recreational Complex."

The governor continued that all equipment, tools, and goods in this complex were destroyed, and initial damage estimates are between 200 to 250 billion tomans. This fire has not only damaged the economic infrastructure of the county but has also affected the employment of 40 people.
Cause of the Fire and Its Consequences
Ebrahimi further clarified that initial investigations indicate that the cause of the fire is likely related to electrical connections, but more thorough investigations are underway. This incident occurred at a time when Galikash County, with a population of about 70,000 and a diversity of ethnicities and Islamic sects, is seeking economic growth and development.
The Elite Center Recreational Complex was established as one of the private projects without using government facilities at a cost of over 60 billion tomans. This incident not only signifies the loss of an important investment for the county but also highlights the need for safety requirements and more stringent oversight in similar projects in the future.
Galikash, which has more than 60 villages, must seek solutions for rebuilding and strengthening its economic infrastructure due to this incident. This fire serves as a wake-up call for investors and local officials to pay closer attention to safety issues in similar projects.
