Eslami, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, announced the latest achievements of the nuclear industry in the field of health and medicine, stating that currently 78 radiopharmaceutical products are continuously produced and supplied in the country. He also mentioned that there are over 20 other products in clinical study phases that will be added to the country's radiopharmaceutical basket after passing legal stages.

Development of Radiopharmaceuticals for Health Improvement

Radiopharmaceuticals play a very important role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and can be particularly impactful in the fields of cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Eslami added: "The development of these products, especially at a time when the need for modern and effective treatments is increasing, can help improve public health." According to his statements, these products are produced with high quality and meet global standards.

Future Plans of the Atomic Energy Organization

Eslami also referred to the future plans of the Atomic Energy Organization and said that the organization intends to build 5 cyclotron centers by the end of the seventh development plan. These centers will help produce radiopharmaceuticals and meet the country's needs in this area. He emphasized that these centers, in addition to meeting domestic needs, can also assist in the export of these products and contribute to the country's economic growth.

The establishment of these centers will mean an increase in production capacity and the enhancement of technologies used in the radiopharmaceutical industry. Eslami also pointed out the importance of collaboration with universities and research centers in this area, stating: "We must benefit from modern knowledge and technology to provide the best possible medical services."

Challenges and Opportunities in the Radiopharmaceutical Industry

The radiopharmaceutical industry faces numerous challenges, including the supply of raw materials, the need for advanced equipment, and issues related to legal permits. Eslami stated that "the Atomic Energy Organization is working to overcome these challenges," emphasizing that collaboration with the private and public sectors can help expedite this process.

It seems that with recent advancements and ongoing plans, the future of the radiopharmaceutical industry in Iran is bright and promising. Eslami noted that this field can not only help improve the quality of medical services but is also recognized as a new and profitable sector in the country's economy.
