The Iranian government is working to respond to the latest proposal from the United States regarding nuclear negotiations. Abbas Araqchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, told reporters on the sidelines of the second day of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation ministers' meeting: "Our conditions are very clear and have been presented to the U.S. in the form of a seven-day plan." He also referred to the exact timing of Iran's response, saying: "We are still in the process of responding."

The Seven-Day Plan and Iran's Conditions

Araqchi emphasized that if the United States meets Iran's conditions, "the Strait will be opened on the sixth day and negotiations will begin on the seventh day." He also noted: "Iran's readiness compared to past wars has increased" and this demonstrates Iran's firm resolve against any foreign threats.

The Iranian government is also ready to engage in diplomacy if its rights are secured. Araqchi stated in this regard: "We will not bow to threats in any way," and this sentence clearly reflects Iran's firm stance against international pressures.

Trump's Reaction and Qatar's Role as Mediator

The Donald Trump administration had previously rejected Iran's seven-day plan, but it now seems that a proposal has been sent from Washington to Tehran. Araqchi mentioned that Iran has not yet responded to this proposal, indicating the complexities of the negotiations.

Reports suggest that Qatar is actively mediating in these negotiations and is still awaiting Iran's response. Mediators have advised Iran not to postpone its response until after the U.S. midterm elections. This statement clearly indicates the sensitivity of timing in international diplomacy and its implications for Iran's domestic and foreign policies.

As tensions in the Middle East continue and the diplomatic situation is changing, Iran's firm position and international support for Netanyahu, especially at this time, could have serious implications for the future of nuclear negotiations and Iran's relations with other countries.
