Dmitry Polyanskiy, Russia's Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, at a meeting of this organization on Thursday evening, referred to the growing concerns arising from the increased military capabilities of the European Union and NATO. He emphasized that these two entities are openly preparing for a possible war with Russia and are not easily hiding this fact.

Increased Military Capabilities and Existing Risks

Polyanskiy continued his remarks by stating that in the past month and a half, new steps have been taken by NATO and the European Union that could pose the risk of transforming a hybrid war against Russia into a conventional war. These statements reflect Moscow's deep concern over the military movements of Western countries, particularly pointing to Britain's efforts to supply drones to Ukraine. The Russian Permanent Representative viewed this action as London's direct involvement in the war against his country.

Russia's Conditions for a Ceasefire

Polyanskiy further discussed Russia's conditions for halting military operations, stating: "Our conditions for stopping military operations are quite clear and have not changed." He stressed that Russia does not agree to a ceasefire without achieving a complete understanding of the key parameters of peace agreements. These agreements must eliminate the roots of the Ukraine crisis to enable any possibility of a ceasefire.

These remarks indicate a complex and concerning situation in international relations, particularly in the relationship between Russia and the West. Polyanskiy also pointed to the disregard for crimes against the Russian people by European supporters of Kyiv, presenting this as another reason for the ongoing tensions.

On the other hand, these developments could have serious implications for the security stability of Europe, and political analysts are closely monitoring this situation. While the Russian Permanent Representative explicitly speaks of increasing military threats, this issue could influence the future decision-making of international organizations and various countries.
