Colonel Mohammad Ali Lakzaei, the police commander of the special forces in the southern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, reported the death of one armed outlaw and the arrest of another gang member during an operation aimed at combating crime and armed robberies in Iranshahr County.
Armed Confrontation and Successful Operation
This operation was carried out after identifying the hideout of the armed outlaw gang members. Colonel Lakzaei stated that police officers, through intelligence actions, were able to identify the gathering place of these individuals and, after coordinating with the judicial authority, took action. However, as soon as the officers entered, the armed individuals opened fire on them.
The police commander of Sistan and Baluchestan continued that in response to the outlaws' gunfire, the police officers also responded with heavy and reciprocal fire. In this confrontation, one outlaw was killed and another gang member was arrested. Colonel Lakzaei, referring to the discoveries of this operation, stated that during the inspection of the confrontation site, two Kalashnikov assault rifles, six magazines, and quantities of military ammunition were seized. The police commander of the southern province of Sistan and Baluchestan emphasized that police and intelligence actions to identify and confront the factors of crime and armed robberies in this region will continue with seriousness.
