David Stackler (Dioud Qarabagh Stackler), a young striker in Italian football, is now in the spotlight. Born on October 7, 2004, in Herlev, Denmark, he grew up in a multicultural environment with his Iranian father and Austrian mother, and is now recognized as a talent in Italian football. Although he lost his father at a young age, his passion for football and his family connection to Iran have made him a notable player for the country's football.
Journey into Italian Football
At the age of 17, Stackler made an important decision and joined the Cremonese academy in Italy. This step marked the beginning of a new path in his professional life. At this club, he initially faced many challenges and was loaned to other teams for more experience. Over two consecutive seasons, he drew attention with his outstanding performances as a skilled scorer.

In the 2024-2025 season, wearing the Gianna Erminio jersey in Serie C, Stackler scored 15 goals in 40 league matches. In the following season, with a loan transfer to Vicenza, he managed to score another 13 goals in 37 league games and, with his outstanding performance, helped the team gain promotion to Serie B. These successes earned him the title of top scorer in Group A of Serie C in September 2026.
New Challenges and Fresh Opportunities
After these successes, Stackler returned to Cremonese and scored in his first match of the 2026-2027 season in the Coppa Italia, helping his team to a 2-0 victory. However, this good start was accompanied by an injury to his left ankle, which kept him from continuing in the competitions. Medical examinations revealed that he had suffered a sprained ankle but no serious injury, yet this injury caused him to be listed among the absentees for the upcoming matches.
Meanwhile, David Stackler, in an interview with Corriere del Veneto, spoke about his passion and interest in football and his connection to Iran. Remembering his father, who passed away when he was ten years old, he expressed that if called up by the Iranian national team for the World Cup, he is ready to wear the national jersey. He said, "If the Iranian national team invites me to play in the World Cup in America, I will go. No one has contacted me yet, but I am ready."
These statements, although not indicative of an official invitation, show his willingness and readiness to join the Iranian national team. Now, David Stackler must strive in Cremonese to solidify his position and gain more opportunities to play at a higher level as the season progresses. While his record as the top scorer in Serie C and promotion with Vicenza is impressive, his future in Iranian national football also depends on his performance in the upcoming competitions.
