The Cultural Attaché of Iran in Pakistan, referring to the existing problems in the admission system for Pakistani students, emphasized that in order to strengthen scientific and cultural relations between the two countries, it is necessary to remove the barriers present in the scholarship and visa system.
Heavy Bureaucracy and Lack of a Roadmap
He pointed out the heavy bureaucracy and the one-year visa issuance process for Pakistani students, identifying this issue as one of the main barriers to attracting new students. According to him, this lengthy process prevents many applicants from continuing their studies in Iran, and there is a need for a serious review of the policies related to visa issuance.

Focus on Fields Without Job Markets
The Cultural Attaché of Iran also criticized the focus of scholarships on fields without job markets, stating: "This issue causes many students to be unable to find their passion in the job market after graduation, leading to a decrease in students' willingness to study in Iran." He emphasized that the Ministry of Science and other related institutions need to move towards creating new fields that align with job market needs.
Modeling After Modern Approaches
He further stressed the importance of modeling after modern event-driven approaches. In his opinion, holding joint scientific and cultural events can help improve relations between the two countries and provide an opportunity for Pakistani students to become more familiar with Iranian culture and educational systems.
In this regard, the establishment of research collaborations and student exchanges between Iranian and Pakistani universities was among the suggestions made by the Cultural Attaché of Iran. He noted: "Holding seminars and joint workshops can lead to increased scientific and cultural interactions between the two countries and help create a positive environment for students."
The Necessity of Scientific and Cultural Synergy
This official ultimately emphasized the necessity of scientific and cultural synergy between the two countries for the development of relations, stating: "Iran and Pakistan have high capacities in scientific and cultural fields, and through cooperation, we can help enhance the level of knowledge and technology in both countries."
While scientific relations between Iran and Pakistan, as neighboring Muslim countries, can help strengthen cultural and social ties between the two nations, resolving the existing problems in the admission of Pakistani students seems essential.
