A new estimate from the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) shows that the costs of the U.S. imposed war against Iran have reached $47 billion. This estimate, dated October 16 and presented to Congress, has recently been published by a publication and indicates that since September, costs have increased by over $3 billion.
Details of the Costs
According to this estimate, the largest portion of these costs, amounting to $29 billion, is related to the replacement of munitions used during this war. Additionally, nearly $12 billion has been allocated to costs arising from military aggression, and another $6.1 billion is related to the replacement of lost equipment.

Air Force support for deployed forces, air transportation, bases, communication support, and transportation in the operational area has also incurred costs of $7.6 billion. This estimate does not include costs related to damages inflicted on U.S. military bases in the region.
Impacts of the New Estimate on Society
This new figure updates an estimate provided earlier in September when the Pentagon announced that the cost of this conflict was approximately $43.6 billion. Given these rising costs, the "Moody's Analytics" institute has stated that this conflict has so far cost an average of $2,000 for each American household.
A publication had previously claimed that CENTCOM has developed plans for conducting further attacks against Iran if authorized by the White House. According to sources, the U.S. has multiple options for conducting attacks, raising concerns among analysts and experts.
Reactions and Consequences
The U.S. government, particularly its senior officials, has frequently commented on the status of the war and aggression against Iran. Former U.S. President Donald Trump stated at a rally in Corpus Christi, Texas, that the United States has "gained immense wealth" due to the current situation in the region and reiterated that the war with Iran will "end very soon."
These statements come at a time when rising costs and human casualties in this war are serious issues for consideration in Congress and among public opinion. Given the various dimensions of this war and its impacts on society, there may be increased pressure on the U.S. government to reconsider its policies in this regard in the near future.
