Ayatollah Ahmad Marvi, in a meeting with a group of medalists, coaches, and families of the national team of the Artificial Intelligence Olympiad of Iran, held on the occasion of October 1st, National Elites Day, at the holy shrine of Razavi, congratulated this scientific achievement and stated: "That Iran has achieved a top rank among 106 countries in a scientific competition in a very important and future-oriented field is a valuable honor for the Iranian nation."

Bringing Honor in the Field of Science and Knowledge

Ayatollah Marvi, appreciating the efforts of the medalists, coaches, and their families, considered this success a golden page in the honors of the Iranian nation and added: "Just as the warriors defended the dignity of the country with sacrifice and dedication, you also bring honor to the country in the field of science, knowledge, and technology, and your efforts are very valuable."

The custodian of the holy shrine of Razavi referred to the status of science and knowledge in Islamic teachings and said: "Islam has a special place for science and knowledge, and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) emphasized the importance of acquiring knowledge. One of the factors in the formation of the great Islamic civilization was this perspective on science, knowledge, and education."

Human Capital and Challenges Ahead

Ayatollah Marvi continued by pointing to existing limitations, stating: "The country may face limitations in resources, but the talent and genius that God has bestowed upon Iranian youth is a very large asset." He added: "You can also create the technologies needed for Iran."

The custodian of the holy shrine of Razavi warned about the emigration of elites, emphasizing: "Losing elites is not just the departure of a few specialists; it means losing human capital and reducing the country's capacity and ability to produce knowledge and innovation."

He also referred to scientific obstacles and said: "Jealousy, unhealthy competition, and lack of cooperation can hinder the growth of youth and elites, and we must stand against these obstacles." Ayatollah Marvi urged elite youth: "Iran is your country and belongs to you, and you must strive for its prosperity and advancement."

In conclusion, Ayatollah Marvi, referring to the scientific achievements of Iranian youth in various Olympiads and fields, stated: "Today, Iranian youth shine in various scientific fields, and the success of the medalists in the global Artificial Intelligence competitions is an example of this capability."

He finally wished success for the elites and youth of the country, saying: "May God increase your scientific abilities and protect you for the country and the Iranian nation; stay, make your country proud, and elevate Iran to a position where it stands out among the nations of the world."

It is worth mentioning that the national team of the Artificial Intelligence Olympiad of Iran achieved one gold medal, two silver medals, and one bronze medal in the third global Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (IOAI 2026).
