Major General Amir Hatami, the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, during a visit to one of the production centers of combat drones, emphasized the country's readiness for asymmetric wars and the use of advanced equipment. He noted that based on experiences gained from recent imposed wars, one should never trust the enemy and must always strive to increase readiness.

The Role of Unmanned Weapons in Defense

Amir Hatami further referred to the impact of unmanned weapons in modern warfare, stating: "Today, unmanned weapons, including drones, have found much broader applications with diverse missions." He emphasized that these weapons hold a special place in the defensive approach of Islamic Iran, and their development process has turned into a memorandum of understanding in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense.

Readiness of Equipment and Personnel

He also spoke about the readiness of the four branches of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, saying: "We are particularly active in the areas of production, distribution, and maintenance of these weapons, and necessary training has been provided to the combatants." Amir Hatami pointed to a good maturity in the field of drones and, in general, unmanned weapons, adding that the army is prepared for asymmetric warfare. He stated: "Part of our equipment is related to symmetric warfare, but a large part of our equipment and capabilities is related to asymmetric warfare."

Major General Hatami emphasized that in recent wars, the equipment used by the army has surprised the enemy and led to severe blows against them. Regarding the enemy's capabilities, he added: "We know that the enemy has significant capabilities, but we have prepared ourselves for asymmetric warfare and the necessary equipment for it."

Emphasis on Responding to Threats

The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, referring to the special mission of the armed forces, stated: "Ensuring security and countering threats is our duty. As per the leader's directive, we assume 1% of the threat to be 100% and prepare ourselves for it." He also referred to the presence of the Navy in the eastern Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that this presence has prevented the enemy from entering the Sea of Oman.

Amir Hatami, recalling the regulations of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf, emphasized that the army uses various equipment to enforce these regulations and stressed the necessity of coordination with other countries' armed forces with the Islamic Republic of Iran's armed forces.
