Ali Nikzad, the Deputy Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, in his pre-scheduled speech at the beginning of today's virtual public session (Tuesday, October 6), congratulated the week of law enforcement and emphasized the importance of security and the role of police in ensuring it. He also reacted to the claims of the U.S. President and stressed the determination of the Iranian nation to live independently.
Congratulations Message to Law Enforcement
Nikzad began his remarks by honoring the lofty spirit of the great founder of the Islamic Revolution and the martyrs of the righteous path, and congratulated the dedicated police and border guards on the week of law enforcement. He considered security as one of the essential pillars of the country's progress and prosperity, adding that appreciation for the efforts of the police is a collective duty.
Response to Trump's Threats
The Deputy Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, continuing his remarks, referred to the claims of the delusional U.S. President and said: "When a so-called superpower faces the iron will of the great Iranian nation, it tastes the bitter flavor of defeat and tries to evade accepting this defeat through media manipulation and threats."
Nikzad further addressed the U.S. President, stating: "You were supposed to make Iraq the fifty-first state of America; however, with humiliation and disgrace, with 10,000 dead and 31,000 wounded, you were forced to leave Iraq. The opening or closing of the Strait of Hormuz is determined by fuel price indicators in America, not your empty tweets."
The Necessity of Cooperation Among Neighboring Countries
Nikzad also advised Iran's neighbors to adjust their historical relations with the dear Islamic Iran independently of the threats and temptations of the enemies of Islam. He emphasized that sustainable security and a flourishing economy in the West Asian region is a collective achievement that can only be achieved through joint cooperation among countries.
Referring to foreign powers, he said: "These powers sell you dreams and receive payment in cash, but deliver no goods to you. The progress of all countries depends on the joint cooperation of the real inhabitants of this region."
Nikzad concluded by emphasizing the determination of the Iranian nation to respond to any kind of adventure, stating: "The martyrs of the dear Islamic Iran, both from the powerful armed forces and the self-sacrificing people, are ready to punish the invading enemies."
