Ali Marvi, former head of the Business Environment Improvement Center of the Ministry of Economy, spoke at an economic roundtable about the challenges of issuing licenses in the country. He pointed out the problems that businesses face, stating that without paying bribes, construction and starting a business is extremely difficult.
Delays in Issuing Licenses
Marvi referred to a specific case in this discussion and explained that the issuance of one of the licenses took a year and a half. These delays have not only affected the development of businesses but have also caused many entrepreneurs and investors to withdraw from continuing their activities.

Failed Agreements and Difficulties
The former head of the Business Environment Improvement Center also referred to the failure in implementing agreements and said: "Many efforts have been made to facilitate business conditions, but due to insufficient infrastructure and lack of coordination among various institutions, these efforts have not borne fruit." He clearly stated that lack of transparency and corruption in the administrative system are the biggest obstacles to entrepreneurship and economic development in the country.
Marvi emphasized that many faithful individuals in this field have come to the conclusion that without paying bribes, they cannot achieve their goals. This situation is not only detrimental to the national economy but has also led to a decrease in public trust.
Economic and Social Consequences
These challenges have profound economic and social consequences. Decreased confidence among entrepreneurs, reduced domestic and foreign investments, and ultimately, increased unemployment and poverty are some of the direct results of this situation. Marvi, concerned about this situation, called for fundamental reforms in the licensing system and improvement of the business environment.
According to him, to improve these conditions, we must move towards a transparent and accountable administrative system that can support entrepreneurs and investors and create new pathways for economic and social development instead of creating obstacles.
