Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, a member of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, recently criticized Saudi Arabia's role in regional developments in strong statements. He stated that Riyadh's claim of peacefulness is in stark contradiction with the ongoing siege of Yemen, and this issue requires serious attention. Al-Houthi also called for an end to aggressions and the withdrawal of occupying forces from Yemen.
The Siege of Yemen and Its Impacts
The siege of Yemen, which has existed for years due to the civil war and regional confrontations, has severely affected the lives of the people in this country. Al-Houthi emphasized that the continuation of the siege has not only worsened the humanitarian situation in Yemen but has also exacerbated economic and social crises. He urged the international community to pay more attention to this issue and assist the people of Yemen.

Call for Regional Coalitions
In his statements, al-Houthi called on regional coalitions to cease hostile actions against Yemen. He emphasized that these coalitions should turn towards peace and peaceful coexistence instead of continuing tensions and war. Al-Houthi also urged regional countries to counter the dominance of the United States and the Zionist regime to achieve peace and security in Yemen and other countries.
These statements come as the Yemen crisis has become one of the largest humanitarian disasters in the world. More than 24 million people in Yemen need humanitarian assistance, and living conditions for millions are extremely difficult. Al-Houthi stressed the necessity of compensating for war damages and called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities towards the people of Yemen.
