The meeting of managers of the municipalities of the metropolises of the country was held with the presence of Mohammad Sharbaty, the Director General of the Treasury of Tehran Municipality, Maryam Ardabili, the Head of the Women and Family Center of Tehran Municipality, and Mehdi Mohammadi, the Secretary General of the Association of Metropolises Mayors, as part of the managerial knowledge event "Victorious in the Field". In this meeting, the officials of Tehran Municipality explained their achievements and programs in various fields.
Emphasis on the Economic Independence of Municipalities
Mohammad Sharbaty, the Director General of the Treasury of Tehran Municipality, emphasized that municipalities can act as smaller and more effective governments, stating: "We must move towards decision-making and economic independence and be producers ourselves." He also referred to the damages caused by the war on the city of Tehran and added: "If Tehran Municipality had not stepped in, what the enemies wanted would have happened."

Challenges of Financing and Future Programs
Sharbaty continued by mentioning that more than ١١٦% of the budget and revenue of Tehran Municipality was realized in the first six months of the year, stating: "We have various financing methods, and currently we have become producers of bonds ourselves." He also predicted that the budget for ١٤٠٥ of Tehran Municipality would reach ٣٢٠ trillion tomans and said: "We are looking for resources for various projects, including the metro."
Maryam Ardabili, the Head of the Women and Family Center of Tehran Municipality, also emphasized the importance of an Islamic perspective on women, referring to the third model of women proposed by the martyr leader. She added: "We want to say that we do not believe in these contradictions, and the advantages of women and men are added to these commonalities."
Efforts to Strengthen the Family Institution
Ardabili stated that most of the activities carried out in the field of family have been focused on strengthening and promoting the family, saying: "As long as we do not return the family to agency, its miseries will not decrease." She also referred to the establishment of female and girl-friendly infrastructures in the city of Tehran, stating: "Currently, we have about ١٧٠ hectares of female space belonging to Tehran Municipality."
This meeting showed that Tehran Municipality is striving to not only address its financial needs through precise and targeted planning but also to strengthen the family institution and improve the social status of citizens. Despite the existing challenges, this institution hopes to provide appropriate solutions for urban and social problems in collaboration with other metropolises.
