Abdolnaser Hemmati, the Governor of the Central Bank, referred to the country's inflation rate in a new report and announced a significant decrease compared to previous months. He stated: "The inflation rate of four percent per month is still a high figure, but despite the pressures from war, sanctions, and inflation expectations, the Central Bank's actions in controlling the growth of liquidity have been effective."
Decrease in Point-to-Point Inflation Rate
Hemmati noted that the point-to-point inflation rate, which had been on an upward trend reaching 84.4 percent in August, decreased to 83.8 percent in September. Although this decrease is slight, he stated that the mere fact of the inflation rate starting to decline is considered very important.

He added: "The Central Bank's efforts are focused on further reducing the inflation rate, and we hope that by continuing this trend, we will witness an improvement in economic conditions."
Economic Challenges and Central Bank Solutions
Abdolnaser Hemmati further referred to the economic challenges facing the country and said: "The current conditions are due to sanctions and economic warfare that have impacted the country's economy. However, the Central Bank is trying to control the inflation rate and improve the economic situation through optimal liquidity management."
He also emphasized the importance of public trust in the Central Bank and economic policies, stating: "If the people trust our actions, we can overcome these challenges together."
According to Hemmati, the decrease in the point-to-point inflation rate indicates movement in the right direction, and although this path may be long, with effort and determination, a better situation can be achieved.
In conclusion, Hemmati pointed out that the country's economic situation requires time and patience, urging everyone to work together calmly and with confidence in the future to overcome these conditions.
