In the past six months, Farahzad River Valley has attracted around 25,000 tourists as one of the tourism destinations of the capital. Seyed Mohammad Nazem Razavi, CEO of the Cultural Spaces Development Company, referred to this statistic, highlighting the unique capacities of this area for attracting tourists and nature lovers.

Development Phases of Farahzad River Valley

Nazem Razavi explained that this area is defined in two phases. The first phase extends from the Khushmaram Bridge to the entrance of the waterfall, which will be handed over to the Cultural Spaces Development Company in November 2025. Currently, the contractor for maintaining the green space, security, and cleaning is active in this section.

He continued: "The presence of specialized contractors in the field of green space maintenance and cleanliness is aimed at providing suitable conditions for citizens and tourists. We are seeking to preserve the infrastructure and natural capacities of this area."

Bright Future of Farahzad River Valley

Nazem Razavi also referred to the second phase of the project, which extends from the entrance of the waterfall to Nahj al-Balagha Park. Preparations for handing over this section to the Cultural Spaces Development Company are underway, and the contractor for maintaining the green space in this phase has also been identified.

The CEO emphasized that establishing a cohesive mechanism for maintaining the second phase could facilitate better utilization of the capacities of this section. He added: "We are looking to create favorable conditions for the presence of citizens and tourists while preserving the natural features of the river valley."

Nazem Razavi noted the citizens' enthusiasm for Farahzad River Valley, stating: "This level of visitation indicates the significant capacity of Farahzad River Valley for urban tourism and ecotourism development. We must plan appropriately to enable more families and various social groups to utilize this capacity."

Finally, Nazem Razavi pointed out that ongoing proper maintenance and the provision of quality services could lead to increased presence of citizens and tourists in Farahzad River Valley. This area, as one of Tehran's important natural capacities, requires continuous attention and planning for optimal use of its tourism facilities.
