Ulyanov, the Russian representative to international organizations in Vienna, responded to the recent statements of the NATO Secretary General regarding Iran's nuclear program. He emphasized that these statements lack any basis and reflect the Secretary General's ignorance of the existing realities in this regard.

Ulyanov's Reaction to the NATO Secretary General's Statements

In a statement expressing regret over the misinformation published, Ulyanov noted that the NATO Secretary General should comment based on accurate and credible data. He also pointed out that Iran has always adhered to its international commitments regarding its nuclear program and has provided the necessary transparency in this area.

Background of Iran's Nuclear Program and International Positions

Iran's nuclear program has always attracted the attention of the media and international officials in recent years. While Iran has stated that its goal for this program is the production of peaceful energy and scientific research, some countries, especially the United States and its allies, are concerned about the military capabilities of this program. These concerns have led some Western countries to continuously present assessments regarding the potential threats of Iran's nuclear program.

Ulyanov pointed out that "Iran, as an independent country, has the right to engage in nuclear energy activities, and this right must be respected." He also referred to Iran's diplomatic efforts to create dialogue and cooperation with the international community and urged other countries to turn to diplomacy and dialogue instead of spreading unfounded claims.

These statements come at a time when tensions between Iran and Western countries, especially regarding the nuclear agreement, continue. In recent years, multiple negotiations have been held to revive this agreement, which have reached a deadlock due to disagreements.

Ulyanov also noted that Iran has always sought peace and stability in the region and has no desire to expand nuclear weapons. However, some NATO officials and other countries seem to have focused on provocations and unrealistic statements instead of concentrating on diplomacy.

Given this situation, the Russian representative emphasized the importance of dialogue and international cooperation, urging all countries to move towards creating a constructive and positive atmosphere in international relations instead of adopting hostile positions.
