The U.S. government, in a controversial decision, expelled two members of the Iranian delegation who had participated in the recent United Nations General Assembly in New York. This action was taken after the two individuals defied the order to leave U.S. soil.
Expulsion of Iranian Delegation Members
An American official announced to Agence France-Presse that the two members of the Iranian delegation remained in New York after the conclusion of the United Nations General Assembly and are now returning to their country. The official also noted that Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, is serious about this matter.

Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, and his accompanying delegation received the order to leave U.S. soil on Monday, September 28. This decision was made following the confirmation from the Iranian representation at the United Nations regarding the presence of two delegation members in the U.S. after the conclusion of the General Assembly.
Donald Trump's Positions
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, in light of these developments, stated that the conflict between the two countries can be resolved the hard way or the easy way. He emphasized in conversations with reporters that decisions will be made in this regard. Trump also claimed that Iran is under severe pressure from the U.S. military campaign and is effectively abandoning its nuclear programs.
Meanwhile, Pete Hegseth, the U.S. Secretary of Defense, warned that Donald Trump will have all military options at his disposal and emphasized that Iran must choose between abandoning its nuclear ambitions and facing further U.S. actions.
Economic and Security Consequences
Trump also referred to the drop in oil prices in the market, stating that this decrease is due to the U.S. military campaigns against Iran. He added that Iran should not acquire nuclear weapons and that if it continues to pursue this goal, it will face serious consequences.
Iran, however, in response to these accusations, has consistently denied its efforts to build nuclear weapons and stated that it is not willing to compromise until the U.S. economic sanctions are lifted.
Recent developments in Iran-U.S. relations have once again heightened tensions in this regard, and it seems that the conflict between the two countries will continue in the near future.
