Donald Trump, the President of the United States, at a campaign rally in Montana, referred to the severe weakening of Iran's military forces and stated that the ongoing war between the United States and the Islamic Republic will soon come to an end.

Weakening of Iran's Military Forces

Trump announced at the rally on the evening of Wednesday, October 14, that "Iran has no navy. They have no air force. Their army is destroyed. Their leaders are gone." Expressing concern about not knowing who he is negotiating with, he said, "I probably should have left their leaders in place because I don't even know who the hell we are negotiating with."

Trump also referenced the destruction of an Iranian vessel in the Sea of Oman by the U.S. military and claimed that this operation has severely weakened Iran's military capability. He predicted that after the war ends, global energy prices will drop rapidly.

Consequences of the War and Food Security Situation

While Trump did not provide a specific timeline for the end of the war, a United Nations official warned that if the United States and Iran do not reach an agreement on implementing a plan for the transfer of chemical fertilizers in the coming weeks, a food security crisis may occur in parts of Asia and Africa. The official stated, "Reaching an agreement in the coming weeks is absolutely critical. Otherwise, we will miss the planting season."

The United Nations is working to facilitate the passage of fertilizer shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, but this mechanism has not yet been implemented. Trump also noted that the United States has achieved its primary goal of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

However, Trump acknowledged that the extent of U.S. military operations has made it more difficult to identify Iranian officials for negotiations. He said, "Maybe I went too far. I don't even know who I should be dealing with."

Meanwhile, the health and economic situation in the region is severely affected by the conflicts. The International Food Policy Research Institute has stated that the transfer of fertilizer shipments from the Gulf region has been severely halted, which could have serious consequences for agriculture and food security in various countries.
