Trump, the former President of the United States, was mocked by Colin Jost, the comedian and host of the show, on 'Weekend Update'. Jost pointed out Trump's failure to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, saying, 'Unfortunately, we have to start tonight with some bad news about President Trump; no, I don't mean that news! The issue is that Trump unfortunately did not win the Nobel Peace Prize.'

Trump's Failure and Sarcastic Critiques

This comedian alluded to the possibility of Trump's death in a sarcastic manner and then addressed his warmongering. Trump has criticized the selection of the Nobel Peace Prize winner at his campaign rallies, claiming that the award went to a liberal individual at the United Nations whom no one knows. This year's winner, Navi Pillay, is a South African lawyer and human rights activist known for her struggles against apartheid and her work at the International Criminal Court in Rwanda.

War and the Return of the USS Abraham Lincoln

Jost continued by mentioning the return of the aircraft carrier 'USS Abraham Lincoln' to San Diego after being on a mission for over 300 days. In the role of Hegst, the U.S. Secretary of War, he addressed the sailors, saying, 'After seven months of war, you have returned home safely; to sunny San Diego, a city that the President just asked to bomb from Iran.'

These remarks referenced Trump's recent comments about war against Iran, which he described as 'a small price to pay to keep the world safe.' Trump also sarcastically mentioned that if Iran acquires nuclear weapons, it may target a city in America.

Jost humorously continued, 'Only eight of you have committed suicide; two of them since I started talking.' This statement refers to the mental state of military personnel who have been in difficult conditions after months of deployment.

Finally, Jost unveiled the new insignia of the Department of War and jokingly said, 'This is an American eagle with a Nazi vibe.' This alludes to the similarity of the new insignia of the Department of War to Nazi symbols, especially the eagle with outstretched wings used in the official emblems of the Nazi German government.
